Varaison Vineyards’ heritage Rose Garden is a captivating experience for all guests to enjoy. The garden encompasses nearly 1,500 David Austin Roses arranged in a formal walking garden designed by renowned Rosarian Michael Marriott. The Rose Garden is able to comfortably accommodate over 400 people surrounding the modest central gazebo. During the months of June through October, the rose garden boasts over 20,000 fragrant blossoms in an explosion of colors and shapes. Guests are encouraged to visit for some outdoor aroma therapy during the summer and early fall. Rose petals are incorporated into event menu items adding luscious flavors and an elegant splash of color. David Austen Roses posses stunning blooms, mouthwatering aromatics, and much like wine, display remarkable base notes on the palate when paired with food and wine. For ease of viewing the garden, vehicle and bicycle parking is available at the Tasting Room. We ask that when visiting, please respect guests who may be utilizing the garden for weddings and events, as the space may be reserved for their special day. Garden entrance is complimentary, but donations for upkeep and further improvement are gladly accepted in the gazebo box or at the Tasting Room.
